Porsche Piwis Tester II Review

 I bought a Porsche Piwis Tester II 13.400 diagnostic tool on Autonumen Best Quality Porsche Piwis Tester II V15.1 for US$738.00. This is the same software and hardware that the dealerships are using to diagnose, program and reset system faults. Till today, I have owned the tool for 10 days, and think I will share my experience with it.

I can confirm this system works! I have tested the tool on three Porsche vehicles in my garage. I first used it to read and clear DTCs from ABS system on a 07 Cayman. It took less than 5 minutes for the tool to retrieve 2 error codes. I also program two cars: a 06 Boxster and a 13 Panamera with the device.

The tool is really great. The software is the latest version. It is powerful but cheap. I believe many Porsche mechanics will want this. Some of you may already have got one. What are your experiences with Porsche Piwis Tester II 15.100?

How to use your PIWIS II III

After seeing the explosion of people that purchased this tool, I felt we needed a thread where people could go to get specific programming help, and not wade through posts on how to create a VM tester or where to buy a tester. So please keep this tread for programming help. First of all, a PIWIS II and a Piwis III do the same things, only the three can do newer cars, 2018 and on, where as the two is limited to the 2017 and earlier models. The III is easier to use but is more technically challenging to clone since it seeks a signal from Porsche to authorize the VCI (the thing you plug into the car’s diagnostic port) The Chinese who sell the clones, created their own server to clone and send out those signals, then modified the VCI firmware to look for the Chinese signal instead of the Porsche signal.
